Designed by the company's founder Gubi Olsen in 1984, the Grand Piano Sofa is crafted around a solid beech frame and elevated on cylindrical black solid oak legs. Inspired by his love of classical music, Olsen has created the stylised shapes of the sofa in a way that encourages interaction and conversation between the sitters.

Since the Gubi's inception in the late 1960's the company have pursued a goal of producing lighting and furniture that is as functional as it is beautiful.
