A timeless pendant light with a sense of mobility, the Tynell A1965 is made with a modernist approach.
It was first unveiled in 1947 at the Finland House in New York, and proved to be an instant success.
Its organically shaped brass shade features delicate perforated details, with a diffuser in partially frosted glass to help prevent glare.
Paavo Tynell's vision was to merge the advantages of the portable and installed lamp - as a result, the A1965 features a unique counterweight mechanism which allows the shade to be raised and lowered to different heights.
