The exhibition included the UK launch of Zeitraum's Morph Lounge Chair, Winner of a Interior Innovation award at this IMM Cologne 2011. The Morph Lounge will sit alongside other key pieces from their 2011 range.
All of the selected items exemplify Zeitraum’s commitment to purity of form, celebration of natural materials and sound ecological, social principles.
Zeitraum's collection was complimented and contrasted by Wrap’s prints. Extracting details and elements from contributions to their first issue, Wrap used “interesting mark-making, explosive colours, rich textures and humorous characters to create a range of fabric, paper and ceramic based pieces”
Wrap magazine creates a platform to showcase design and illustration that, once read, can be used as wrapping paper. By taking these prints and creating a variety of products, including cushions and wallpaper Wrap are quite literally adding a third dimension to their output, illustrating the inherent versatility of surface design.
Zeitraum and Wrap, to the casual observer, seem to be two very different entities. But, as you will see, beneath the surface there is more that bonds than divides.
