The Alu Chair, Oak Seat by Muller Van Severen for Valerie Objects has been revamped with the addition of a multilayered wooden seat.
Experimenting with wood for the first time, the Oak version of the Alu is a reinterpretation of the humble dining chair that references industrial design and materials; a recurring motif in Fien & Hannes work.
The chair's natural aluminium frame is manually ground and coated with a hardwearing lacquer, with its wooden seat creating a natural, subdued feel. The result is a contemporary, visually well-balanced design that is suited to a range of interior environments.
