An artful demonstration of Ercol's furniture-making heritage, the Chairmakers Chair is shaped for comfort and elegance.
With the brand's characteristic spindle back, it boasts a supportive shell paired with a sculptured solid wood seat in a familiar chair typology. It is constructed using a classic Windsor wedge joint, where the chair leg goes through the entirety of the seat and a wedge is inserted into its centre. Sanded flush with the chair, it creates a remarkably strong joint as well as a compelling design element.
Made of elm with a beech wood frame, the Originals Chairmakers Chair is available in a range of finishes that protect the timber while showcasing the material's natural grain.
