Roz Barr Architects create new workspaces for Selfridges' Creative Team that foster creative expression
Roz Barr Architects were tasked with designing a workspace for the creative team at Selfridges that would encourage creativity and interaction. The practice used a minimal yet dynamic colour palette, utilising materials often in raw form to create a back drop to the working and meeting areas. This is complemented by the addition of deep red details such as the tables by Muller Van Severen, and black structural frames of the Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec designed chairs. A mix of independent and collaborative spaces give the Selfridges team the freedom to adapt the space to their changing needs.
Roz Barr Architects are a London based architectural studio with a commitment to the careful crafting of architectural solutions through a process of making. Of their design philosophy they say "We are dedicated to producing high-quality and inventive designs - not as a means of producing architectural ‘statements’ as such, but through a belief that the ability to produce innovative and beautiful work emerges from the interplay between content, context, and a sensitivity towards client requirements."
