Cloisters, Daytrip Studio

Cloisters is a contemporary workplace set within a unique cluster of Victorian school buildings near Old Street Roundabout. The project balances heritage and modernity, where muted tones and tactile materials sit comfortably alongside to create a serene, light-filled environment.

The reception introduces the building with a balance of professionalism and comfort, combining crafted joinery with artwork and furniture that nods to the site’s history while keeping the aesthetic fresh and contemporary.

In the residential-style lounge, soft lighting, deep seating and a palette of natural woods and textured fabrics create a welcoming retreat within the building’s historic fabric. Workstations are positioned to maximise natural light and long framed views, supported by pale timber floors and calm wall finishes that give the interiors an open, composed quality.

Viaduct collaborated on this project by sourcing and supplying furniture and lighting.
