Canvas, Tigg Coll

Canvas Student, Wembley is a purpose-built student accommodation by Greystar, designed by Tigg Coll with an emphasis on wellness, connection, and creating an uplifting sense of home for students living in London.

Guided by the six core Canvas brand principles— connection to nature, social connectedness, physical wellbeing, mindfulness, nutrition and sleep — Tigg Coll developed a series of interconnected amenity spaces that balance energy with calm.

The ground-floor amenities are organised as a fluid journey, carefully layered to support both communal activity and quieter moments.

As residents move through lounge areas, co-working zones and social spaces, colour and material intensity shift to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

At the heart of the scheme sits the garden pavilion: a dedicated space for mindfulness and reflection. Accessed via a sculptural spiral stair—conceived as a symbolic “tree” rising through the building—the pavilion offers a calm, nature-connected retreat above the lively social areas below.

Viaduct is proud to have collaborated with Tigg Coll on sourcing and supplying furniture and lighting, including designs from Arflex, Mattiazzi, Resident and Nanimarquina.
