Wadham College Staircase 9 Oxford, Setup Studio

Located on the historic grounds of Oxford’s esteemed Wadham College, Staircase 9 has undergone a sensitive and thoughtful redesign. This unique space houses 10 shared bedrooms, providing student accommodation with the flexibility to host sabbatical courses and welcome distinguished guests.

The focus was to design a space which would enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of this accommodation while respecting the architectural heritage of the 18th-century building. Setup Studio issued comprehensive space plans, and curated a detailed furniture and lighting package that would suit both student and hospitality needs. The result is an environment where classic meets contemporary—a harmonious blend that meets the practical needs of its occupants while paying homage to the legacy of Wadham College.

Viaduct assisted Setup Studio with the supply and delivery of furniture and lighting. Designs from manufacturers include Anglepoise, Hay, Luceplan and Very Good & Proper.
