The Ombra Rug is a collaboration between CC-Tapis and Muller Van Severen that experiments with shadow and visual depth.
Belgian duo Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen started the design process for the Ombra by model-making and experimenting with paper, cardboard and light. This mixed-media approach involved cutting, sticking and photographing to experiment with different layers of tone and shadow.
Handmade by artisans in Nepal using Himalayan wool, the Ombra Rug is available in Brick, Grey and Green monochromatic colourways. It is also available in a multicolour version; Ombra Block Rug.
