Ombra Block Rug by Muller Van Severen for CC-Tapis, is an immersive experiment with colour and shadow, where objects and the imagination float or even fly.
The design process for the Ombra series began with a model-making approach, where Belgian duo Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen experimented with paper, cardboard and light. The graphic design of the rug appears multi-dimensional, due to the layered tone and shadow in the design.
Handmade by artisans in Nepal using Himalayan wool, the tactile, hand-knotted Ombra Block Rug is the multicolour version of the monochromatic Ombra Rug.
