Vitra's RE DAX Plastic Armchair is one of Charles and Ray Eames most well known mid-century designs. It was also the first ever chair to be mass produced using plastic.

Designers Charles & Ray Eames created a new furniture typology with their Eames RE DAX Plastic Armchair. Featuring an organically shaped shell that can be supplied with a variety of bases, this version, the DAX Armchair features a visually light four-legged tubular steel frame.

Suitable for use in gardens and terraces with the black or white base. For the version without arms see the Eames DSX Plastic Side Chair.

Available online with a smooth black powder-coated frame, you can also buy this item with a white powder coat or the original chrome base upon request. Please email [email protected] for details and pricing.

The 100% recycled shell of the RE Chair is made from recycled packaging via Germany's 'Yellow Bag' program and features a distinctive speckled appearance.

Seat shell available in fourteen colourways.
