Originally designed in 1925, the idea for the Wassily Chair stemmed from a conversation Marcel Breuer had with a friend about the bicycle during his time as a Bauhaus apprentice.

Discussing the bike's enduring design, Breuer began to think about the potential of steel tubes and the ways they could be manipulated. Fascinated by the transparency of tubing as a structure, Breuer began to experiment and soon the Wassily was born, marking the popularisation of the material in furniture design.

Now considered a Bauhaus icon, the chair comprises seamless tubes with a polished chrome finish and a cowhide leather sling available in numerous colours.
