With clean lines and a minimal profile, this 1930s chair by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is a design icon with a timeless expression.
The Brno chair was originally created for the bedroom Mies van der Rohe's Villa Tugendhat, which went on to become an example of pioneering European architecture. Manufactured by Knoll ever since, the modernist cantilever chair consists of a tubular steel frame made from one single piece, and a fully upholstered wood and foam seat.
In a reflection of the ideas behind Villa Tugendhat, the Brno side chair has been reduced to its essential elements, refined to a point of beauty and elegance.
Price listed is for Brno Armchair without armpads and finished in polished chrome.
