This polygonal table with barrel-like leg explores craft traditions and the characteristics of thinned wood. Transparent colours and graphic patterns printed on the tabletop represent contemporary design superimposed on traditional craft techniques.
Inspired by the traditional Japanese wood joint technique yatoi-sanetsugi, the leg of this table is made of individual laths that are connected at intricate angles to form a round tapered base.
This version of the Colour Low Wood Table blends a dark stained wooden top with graphic grid overlay with a pink-stained base accented by dark stripes.
