Designed in 1988 and brought back into production by Karakter, Angelo Mangiarotti's Aida Table Lamp has a fluidity of form that makes it appear as if caught in motion.
The Aida Lamp's two large volumes are connected only by a slim stem, the larger shade seeming too much for it's supportive counterpart. In fact the lamp is not fragile or out of balance, but is instead a beautiful and sculptural lamp that creates a soft indirect light.
The Aida lamp is crafted from a plastic opal half-sphere on black powder coated aluminium/steel support arm and base.
