DCW Éditions

DCW éditions believe "Only truth and beauty are eternal" and this philosophy can be seen in every lamp they produce.

"There are objects born from desire and objects born from love. There are objects that disappear, scattered by the winds of time. To be of one’s time is to share the destiny of the dead leaves. " - Jean Guitton

Paris based DCW editions produce several lighting collections that span from the era of Le Corbusier right through to the present day

Their first collection was the Lampé Gras lighting range, designed by Bernard Albin, and the 20th Century’s first articulated lamp. Popular with his contemporaries it populated the homes and studios of Eileen Gray, Sonia Delaunay and Georges Braque amongst others.

The company followed this with Bernard Schottlander's Mantis Lamp. The British based artist, engineer and designer created this mid-century biomorphic design as an exercise in balance and asymmetry in admiration of the work of Alexander Calder. They also acquired the rights to the 1970's classic 'Here Comes The Sun' by Bertrand Balas through a fortunate meeting.

Following the success of their previous collections, DCW éditions have now focused on the contemporary with their ISP lamp and In the Tube wall light. Both adhere to the brand's rigorous belief in both beauty and functionality.
