Product Story

Set up by sisters Gwendolyn Kerschbaumer and Guillane Kerschbaumer, Atelier Areti explore the interaction between glowing bodies in the Plate and Sphere light.

Continuing the pair's fascination with brass, the light features a large plate in solid brass that reflects the light of the luminous white globe. Speaking of the material's appeal, the sisters say: 'Brass is a wonderful and versatile material to work with. It can be cast, milled, laser cut, the surface can be polished or brushed or otherwise treated and coated to create darker tones. The aspect of brass if just coated with a clear layer to prevent it from oxidising is very harmonious and warm. Even relatively small elements of brass add luminosity to a space.'

With the option to be used on either the ceiling or wall, this versatile light makes for a striking addition to any contemporary space.
