The AX Lounge Chair, HM11 by Hvidt & Mølgaard for &Tradition is expertly engineered to create one of the most comfortable wooden chairs of its time.
A design classic, the AX lounger is one of the earlier examples of laminated veneer furniture, where layers of plywood could be bent in several directions to produce an ergonomically shaped structure.
The continuous curve of the armrests appear to mirror the arc of the seat, with the construction of the chair comprised of two shells and two leg frames. Awarded with the reputable Diplôme d’Honneur at the Triennale in Milan in 1951, the AX is a well balanced addition to various interior settings.
Made using FSC® certified wood, the AX Lounge Chair is available in Dark Stained Oak and Oak and Walnut finishes.
