Nanimarquina utilises an unusual material to create a soft and tactile rug.
Nettle is a wild-growing plant that is highly sustainable. After being harvested and bundled, the prickly weed is softened through a complex process involving water and ashes. This process is carried out entirely by hand and uses absolutely no chemicals.
It is then transformed into a thread ready to be spun into a resistant material. The resulting thread is then hand-knotted to create the Nettle Rug, with a unique surface and texture and an inherently warm aesthetic. Made of Nettle and Jute.
The Nettle Dhurrie Rug is available in two sizes.
