The HAY Palissade Armchair is a garden chair that is sturdy yet refined; with a visual transparency that allows it to integrate seamlessly into its surroundings.

Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, this Hay chair celebrates visual symmetry in design. Each Palissade chair is made using a combination of tubular and flat lengths of steel crafted into a form that integrates effortlessly with its surroundings. Practical as well as visually appealing, the curved slats of the Palissade's seat allow air to circulate and water to pass through, while also providing enhanced comfort to the sitter.

This Hay outdoor furniture series is available in a durable powder-coated steel finish of anthracite, sky grey, iron red or olive green. It is also available in a special hot galvanised finish. This process involves dipping each chair into molten zinc, forming a resilient coating over the entire steel surface that protects against corrosion. The result is two hardwearing finishes that will become more beautiful over time.
