Fermob produces colourful, eco-conscious metal furniture for outdoor spaces. Each piece is made in their factory in the Ain region of France. The company use steel and aluminium which are both recyclable and the coloured lacquers are solvent free and applied in a zero release facility. The design team also work to minimise material usage and production energy consumption as much as possible. Each item is also coated with a UV lacquer to help ensure they remain just as colourful in years to come.
The company are best known for their Luxembourg chair, designed by Frédéric Sofia in 1923 for the Paris parks department workshop. The chair is named for the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris where it is still used to this day. Their Bistro table and chairs are the classic French archetype seen in cafes and village squares across the country.
The style of Fermob's furniture is oft imitated but the quality and durability of the originals speaks for itself.
Viaduct is an official UK dealer of Fermob outdoor furniture.
