The Bird Chair from Very Good and Proper translates a classic seating style into the modern day, with a human approach and a robust materiality.
Made entirely of solid ash wood, it combines flat slats with the traditional dowels of the Windsor style chair, providing added strength and additional comfort. The seat is gently angled to complement the contours of the body, offering a highly functional side or dining chair with a durability that is also suited to commercial use.
Designed by Michael Marriott, the chair's tapered legs reference early woodworking techniques, while black and red stained finishes bring a contemporary appeal.
