Designed by Signe Hytte, the soothing lamp infers the shape of mushrooms and autumnal hues, in a poetic combination of tone, texture and material.
With a base in rich smoked oak or bolder black Marquina marble, the two variations of the lamp possess distinct personalities. Where one is soft and understated, the other is direct and resolute, each carefully handcrafted making every lamp unique.
It is recommended to use an E14, 2 watt LED filament bulb for a warm white light that best enhances the lamp's atmospheric expression.
The New Works collection leans towards sculptural and sensual forms. Their furniture and lighting collection includes versatile pieces such as the Covent Chair and Florence Dining Table, but also more experimental sculptural objects.
Based in Copenhagen, Denmark. New Works have an eye for talent, developing pieces with some of the most interesting and progressive designers working today. Their untitled concrete chair by Magnus Pettersen was originally designed as a gallery piece exploring the properties of concrete. Their Rise and Shine mirror, designed by London based Di Allegri & Fogale, also blends the boundaries of sculpture and function. ..
