Pushing moulded veneer to extremes, the chair's back is curved in such a way that it also serves as the armrests. Its innovative construction means that the Cover Chair is held together by layers of the wood, with no need for the use of any metal parts.
The interplay of positive and negative space gives Cover its distinctly airy feel that readily lends itself to use as a dining or desk chair, and it is also available with an upholstered seat.
Muuto is one of Scandinavia's leading furniture brands. The company has played a key role as an ambassador for the promotion of Nordic style across the UK. Their name comes from the Finnish word 'muutos' meaning 'new perspective', which epitomises their approach to furniture design. They then hand pick leading contemporary designers with a similar philosophy such as Cecilie Manz or Anderssen & Voll to collaborate with on Muuto's lighting and furniture ranges.
Amongst their best-known pieces are Dots, a graphic coat hook system, and their e27 pendant. More recent releases include their Outline Sofa and the Loft Chair. Every Muuto sofa, light or chair carries with it a sense of this 'new perspective' on the Nordic home. ..
