The Uncino's sculpted ash sections are made with a hybrid construction of precise numerically controlled milling machines and Mattiazzi's dedicated handcraftsmanship.
The wood is held in place by simple metal rods, which remain subtly visible through gently raised bumps in the Uncino Chair's surface and lend it an organic expression. Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the chair's simplistic construction is complemented by keen attention to detail and an inherent sense of lightness.
Version C of the Uncino Chair features a curved sled base and is suited to a range of applications including restaurant seating. Uncino is available in natural or black stained wood finishes.
Also available is version A and B of the chair, and the Uncino Stool.
