Reintroduced by Knoll in 2008, the Splay Leg Table remains true to the exact specifications of George Nakashima's original 1940s design.
Nakashima was a well-renowned craftsman, celebrated for his handmade furniture with a careful attention to quality. Harmonising traditional influences with a contemporary simplicity, the Splay Leg celebrates the natural beauty of wood, with a low-sheen finish that allows the natural grain to shine through.
A prime example of Nakashima's sensitivity of materials, the handmade table creates a visual interplay between dark walnut and light hickory, crafted with mortise and tenon joints and solid brass hardware.
