Many designers spend years developing their designs, simply to make them better and better. This was certainly not the case with Mathieu Matégot; he only devoted one decade to the design of furniture and interior accessories, yet these distinctive 1950s designs would later be considered iconic.

With its visually striking brass centrepiece and three-armed construction, the Matégot Coat Rack is a perfect example of the designer's experimental approach to shapes and forms. Manufactured by Gubi, it is available in three distinct colourways, making a sculptural alternative to traditional coat racks or stands.

Gubi create design that stimulates the senses, mixing classic pieces with new innovations.

Since the Gubi's inception in the late 1960's the company have pursued a goal of producing lighting and furniture that is as functional as it is beautiful. These complement contemporary icons, such as GamFratesi's Beetle Chair. A design so successful that it has now expanded into an entire family, spanning lounge chair, sofa, stool and variety of dining chair options. Another Viaduct favourite is the TS collection with its characteristic marble and jewel-toned table tops that contrast with delicate graphic frames to elegantly punctuate any space.Gubi are also licenced producers of Robert Dudley Best's iconic Bestlite Collection, a timeless Bauhaus era classic...
