The Ant Chair was originally designed in 1952; a flexible wood veneer chair narrowed at the waist to mimic the shape of its namesake.
Its seat and back are formed from the same piece of wood, using a steam bending technique to create its precise curves. With a simple chromed steel base, the Ant Chair is stackable up to 12 pieces, making it an equally suited to use in commercial settings as it is for everyday use in the home.
The Ant Chair is available from Fritz Hansen in a wide range of natural wood or coloured finishes, and can also be purchased as a three-legged version.
