Originally designed in 1958, Mogensen was inspired by the traditional chairs he saw on his journey through Spain, particularly prevalent in areas influenced by Islamic culture. Reinterpreting the design with his signature functionalism, The Spanish Chair has a sturdy solid oak construction made with a geometric precision.

The wide armrests serve as a surface area for putting drinks or books, allowing the sitter to dispense with a side table and create a more open relaxation area.
