The Nine-0 Swivel Armchair designed by Ettore Sottsass was the last chair he worked on with Emeco at age 90.
Inspired by the Navy Chair in his Milan apartment, Sottsass wanted to design a timeless and comfortable chair to be considered a family heirloom. The chair is created using Emeco's unique 77-step system including heat-treating, anodizing, and brushing to ensure that they are made with the highest resilience and strength.
The frame of the Nine-0 is built by hand from recycled aluminium, with the seat and back of the chair made from a soft polyurethanethe. Suited to both residential and contract environments, the Nine-0 is available in a Brushed Aluminium or Polished Aluminium finish with black seat. Listed online with armrests, castors and swivel seat.
