In collaboration with Magis, British designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have created the fully recyclable Alpina Chair using waste cooking oils and FSC certified ash wood.
Inspired by a classical model of the alpine furniture tradition, the Alpina Chair by Magis is elegant and versatile, designed with longevity in mind.
The curved, injection-moulded backrest of the chair is made from bio-based
polypropylene derived from waste cooking oils. Crafted from solid natural ash, the seat and legs of the Alpina makes it adaptable to traditional and contemporary environments. Suitable for both domestic and contract use.
