Designed for the expansive lobby of the SAS Royal Hotel, the Loafer lounge chair exudes a certain intimacy from its upholstered curves.
The Copenhagen hotel was originally opened in 1960, and designed in its entirety by acclaimed architect Arne Jacobsen. In designing the chair, Space Copenhagen took references from the space itself, from the signature spiral staircase to the imposing circular columns.
The Loafer chair's interior quilting recalls traditional design details, while also offering a sense of comfort and protection.
