Rud Thygesen & Johnny Sørensen

Danish duo Rud Thygesen and Johnny Sørensen worked together for nearly 30 years, contributing to the development of laminated and moulded wood furniture production.

In 1966 Rud Thygesen and Johnny Sørensen opened their joint design studio after graduating from the Danish School of Art, Crafts and Design the same year. Mainly working with laminated and moulded wood, the pair have successfully designed several furniture series that have been cleverly manufactured into lightweight and functional pieces.

Working with brands including Magnus Olesen since 1971, the duo continued their partnership until 1995 where they decided to split and pursue their individual careers.
