Jasper Morrison's Cork Family explores material integrity in design through three compelling multi-purpose pieces.
Each member of the Cork Family is crafted entirely from agglomerate cork, a by-product of natural cork production. As a material it boasts numerous advantageous natural properties; lightweight and durable with a pleasant surface feel.
Simplicity and honesty are recurring themes throughout Morrison's work, with understatement being the order of the day. The Cork Family's creation resonates with significance as a result of Morrison's authorship, underlining just how elemental good furniture design can be.
Each member of the Vitra Cork Family can be used as either a stool or side table. Also available is the Cork Family Model B and Cork Family Model C.
