Nikari are based Fiskars, a unique, beautiful village in South West Finland. Their workshop is the oldest of its kind in the country.

The company pride themselves on their sustainable approach to design, producing their furniture using only locally sourced wood from certified sources. They work closely with their suppliers. Each piece of timber is sawn, dried and stored under the supervision of of their craftsman. Over the years, Nikari has collected a large assortment of high-quality materials unique to Finland. Each project is then made with the wood having the qualities best suited to the use.

Though the materials are local, Nikari work with a global group of celebrated designers including Jasper Morrison, whose December chair has proved a bestseller for the company; and Alfredo Häberli who designed their April Table series.
