Model 607 comprises a disc-shaped diffuser and an inclined base, both in painted aluminium, offering a refined silhouette and a compelling balancing act. A dimmer switch is integrated into the base for easy control of the lamp's direct light. The light source has evolved along with the design in this modern Astep reissue, which now features LED technology.
Astep's lighting collection is a curious blend of tradition and technology intertwined with a family story. Alessandro Sarfatti is the grandson of Gino and son of Riccardo. Gino Sarfatti founded legendary Italian lighting company Arteluce in 1939 and Riccardo was a co-founder of the similarly innovative Luceplan.
Flos' Snoopy table lamp was designed in 1967 by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and was inspired by the classic cartoon character of the same name
The Gatto table lamp uses a unique technique called Cocooning, originally designed by the US Military and adopted by designers Achille & Piercomo Castiglioni in several of their most revered mid-century designs.
