A production born from necessity following World War Two's material shortage, the SM05 chair was one of the first to be fabricated entirely in steel wire.
Not only economical, functional and strong, the chair was a popular piece for families at the time, seen by many as a rebellious statement for the era. Since its conception in 1958, the SM05 Wire Chair has remained a champion of the Pastoe collection, its graphic form and transparency translating seamlessly into the present day, with subtle design tweaks to conform to modern requirements.
