Derived from the CH22 Lounge Chair, the previously undiscovered CH26 Dining Chair was never manufactured during Hans Wegner's lifetime, but brought to life by Carl Hansen in exact accordance with the designer's hand-drawn sketch.
The CH26 features characteristic Wegner design traits, with organic shapes, oblong cover caps and a skillfully hand-woven seat. The chair is made from solid wood with a form-pressed veneer back and is available in oak, walnut or a combination of the two.
Intended for use as a desk or dining chair, Wegner carefully considered the CH26's proportions and height, adjusting the frame and seat structure for optimum strength and stability.
