Pastoe demonstrate how a company can look to both the past and the future for inspiration /
This year Pastoe have chosen to present Boxes, a new cabinet system developed by Studio Pastoe. Boxes can be used not just in isolation but can be incorporated into other existing product ranges such as Vision. This allows customers to breathe new life into existing storage, or devise something completely new. Pastoe have also reissued the SM05 Chair designed by Cees Braakman back in 1958, a timeless design that was one of the first ever steel wire chairs to be produced.
Whilst commited to creating new products Pastoe believe firmly in developing and improving existing product ranges. One example is the new eco friendly version of the LC03 by Maarten Van Severen and Fabian Schwaerzler, made using a combination of flax and resin rather than the orginal's fibreglass. This new version can be used at the end of its lifespan to generate green energy through its biomass.
